Code of Conduct

What We Expect From All Participants

At NOMAD, we are committed to providing every participant with a safe, enriching, and respectful group experience. To ensure the success of each tour and the well-being of all, every teenager joining a program must read and adhere to our Code of Conduct.

This code sets out clear behavioural expectations designed to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect, maturity, inclusivity, and safety. It applies at all times during the program, including activities, transportation, accommodation, and free time.

Typical expectations include:

• Respecting others’ personal space and differences

• Following instructions from Tour Leaders

• Refraining from bullying, verbal or physical aggression

• Respecting curfews and scheduled activities

• Not engaging in theft, vandalism or substance use

Disciplinary Measures

Please note: Any serious or repeated breach of the Code of Conduct may lead to immediate expulsion from the program, without refund.

The severity of the violation will determine the appropriate action, which may include:

• verbal or written warnings

• temporary restrictions on participation

• early return at the family’s expense

Families are financially responsible for any additional costs (transport, change of flight, escorts, etc.) resulting from a participant’s dismissal.

Open Dialogue & Support

If a participant feels uncomfortable, witnesses misconduct, or needs support, they are encouraged to speak with a staff member. We maintain 24/7 supervision and are here to ensure everyone enjoys the experience in a safe, respectful environment.

Don't

The Dark Side

This Is Not a Resort Stay

Our tours are not single trips or even club vacations.

Phones on Pause

We will regulate the use of electronic devices to protect public health (addressing addictions), ensure minors' safety (respecting their rhythm), and promote collective well-being (considering respect for oneself and others, communication time, and avoiding isolation). Stay present, not online.

Valuable Personal Items

Strongly not advised. These will be entirely your responsibility.

Grumble (No Complaints, More Smiles)

Positivity is part of the journey, and good humour is an excellent travel companion. Don’t worry and be happy!

Illicit Products

Under the law, buying, using, or possessing illegal substances results in immediate dismissal with no exceptions.

No Alcohol or Energy Drinks

Consumption and purchase of alcohol are strictly forbidden. Energy drinks are not advised.

Relationship

Although flirting is seen as a natural part of growing up, the organisation will not promote sexual relations but will offer prevention methods and emergency contraception.

No Physical Alterations

We prohibit any changes to the participant’s physical appearance during the stay (e.g., tattoos, haircuts, piercings). You arrive as you are, and you depart as you are.

Smoke-Free Zone

No tobacco or vaping allowed. 100% smoke-free stays, for everyone’s health.

Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

Strictly prohibit bias and mistreatment based on factors such as gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, disability, or age.

Specific Prohibited Behaviours

Taunting, coercion, disparagement, victimisation, mockery, pressure, exclusion, stereotyping, intimidation, physical contact, and any other unwelcome or unwanted conduct are not tolerated here. Our primary commitment is to uphold and protect everyone's dignity above all else.

Do's

Side of the Force

Be Ready

Anticipate rather than improvise. A great traveller is a great planner, prepared for everything, from sunrise to surprise.

Be Respectful

You’re entering someone’s world, not imposing yours. Every smile, silence, or tradition warrants it.

Open Your Eyes

Don’t just look: see. Every place communicates with those who pay attention.

Stay Open

New country, new rhythm, new rules. Openness transforms each shock into a revelation.

Try New Cuisine

Food is part of the journey. Try, don’t judge, you’re eating culture, not just calories.

Live It

Moments matter more than souvenirs. Keep memories, not objects.

Connect

A trip is nothing without people. Talk, listen, share, this is where travel truly begins.

Adapt To Habits And Customs

Respecting local habits is part of the adventure.

Learn

One word can unlock a world. Learn a few, and they’ll take you further than your passport.

Be Part Of The Group

You’re part of the group. Support, share, and grow together; that’s how journeys become unforgettable.
